Project of the Day
Mar. 6th, 2022 08:41 amE=Flite Twin Otter had a motor / ESC failure last weekend, so I'm in the process of rebuilding that. Most of the parts have arrived, so I can begin the assembly in earnest.
Our water main has been replaced. The original placement had Oleander planted above, which crept down abd broke the line. The replacement was put shallow and right nearby, which the plants also broke. We have fixed this issue by removing the overgrown toxic plant and proper replacing the line. We'll also be adding a retaining wall expansion, which will be nice. Some small planter boxes will be very lovely.
Still waiting on parts for the DHC-1 Super Chipmunk, no rush on rebuilding this as it's a scale model anyway. I'd rather have it working correct that risk it being damaged again.
Spent yesterday working with RuggedRadios on an upcoming product. My setup was unique for them as I already have some of their equipment, so making sure it all worked together was as fun challenge. It all worked out, and I think it's time to begin commuting on the motorcycle again. Much as I love the truck, the KLR gets much better fuel mileage.
Closing note: LJ has been marked as deleted. I spent some time trying to archive the history there, and ultimately decided that's an era that's best left in the past (Hakuna Matata). Journal posts will now be here, and on FA when there's art or photos involved.
